David,
I caught your presentation at Startonomics. It was great. I agree that an architectual plan is important for success. This business about rapid prototyping and then greating a platform out of it is crazy. I had to completely rearchitect a site that was first ddevelopment on Cold Fusion. Of course I used a Java Framework and Stack. I brought in an experienced architect to help out. The transformation was a real nightmare but necessary and ultimately successful. I am about to creat a new gaming platform that has to be infinitely more scalable than a simple web site. I would like to talk to you about this. Please check out my blog at www.kevinflood.blogspot.com. I have a threat in there realted to your subject.

Frank I caught your presentation at the Startonomics presentation. It was great. To many prototypes are turned into web sitess and tehn fall apart. I had to transform a cold fusion mess into a Full on Java implementation. Very challangig and could have been avoided. I am in the process of potentailly building a multiplayer game platform that have to handle millions of users. I have had a bad experience with MySQL and may want to talk to you.
